Maryland Bobcats Football Club unveiled a new club crest today, marking the next step in the club’s evolution both on and off the field. The new design modernizes the Maryland Bobcats identity while preserving the core symbols that connect the club to its community and its history.

The updated crest features a vertical pennant-style shield with a stylized, leaping bobcat at its center, rendered in bold black against a rich gold field. At the top, the word “BOBCATS” stands out in strong white lettering above “FOOTBALL CLUB” in deep red, giving the mark a classic yet modern feel. Three vertical gold bars on the right evoke forward motion and ambition, while the lower portion of the crest incorporates elements of the Maryland flag in red and white, grounding the club firmly in its home state . The clean geometric lines and contrasting blocks of color create a powerful, timeless emblem that reflects the club’s strength, pride, and continued growth.

“Our new crest is about who we are now and where we’re going,” said Jide Saba, Maryland Bobcats FC founder. “The original logo will always be a part of our story, but we wanted a mark that is instantly recognizable, versatile across all platforms, and represents the passion of our supporters in Maryland and beyond.”

While the crest has changed, the club emphasized that its core identity remains the same:

• Community-first: The Bobcats will continue deepening ties with local players and supporters, grassroots clubs, and community partners across Maryland.

• Maryland pride: The club’s colors and visual language remain rooted in the state’s rich heritage and pride in  its soccer culture.

• Ambition on the pitch: The refreshed identity aligns with the club’s competitive aspirations and long-term ambitions.

“The Maryland Bobcats are built on hard work, authenticity, and community,” added Maryland Bobcats Youth President and Director Alex Kao. “This new crest looks and feels like the modern, professional club our players and fans know we are.”

The new crest will roll out immediately across all digital platforms, merchandise, and matchday materials. Updated kits and merchandise featuring the new badge will be available at the end of this month of June through online store / team shop details.
